Wastewater Electrocoagulation Test Equipment

electrocoagulation ec lab test equipment

The lab test equipment for reclaimed wastewater was developed by YASA ET following the principles of electrocoagulation.

Since electrocoagulation is becoming more and more popular all around the world, YASA ET offers the Electrocoagulation Test Equipment for all the interested clients to test the treatment effects of this technology on their wastewaters.

This is the optimal solution for clients that want to test their wastewater with YASA ET technology.

Electrocoagulation Test Equipment Introduction

YASA ET Electrocoagulation Test Equipment System

The technology of YASA ET Electrocoagulation Test Equipment with modular plates structure integrates three processes for treating wastewater:

1. Electrolytic catalytic oxidation

2. Electro flocculation

3. Electro floatation

Thanks to its design the equipment has a high removal efficiency of most of the substances contained in wastewater, including heavy metals, calcium and magnesium ions, fluoride ions, COD, BOD, ammonia nitrogen, oily wastewater, etc.

Electrocoagulation, the passing of the electrical current through water, has proven very effective in the removal of contaminants from water.

The electrical current provides the electromotive force causing the chemical reactions. Sacrificial electrodes supply either aluminium or iron cations that assist in a formation of more stable compounds – the contaminants form precipitating hydrophobic entities.

YASA ET EC Test Equipment allows several distinct electrochemical processes to occur during the electrocoagulation process. These observed reactions might be explained as:

  • Seeding - anode reduction of metals ions that become new centres for larger, stable, insoluble complexes, precipitating as complex metal oxides;

  • Emulsion breaking - forming water soluble complexes and that way separating oil, drillers mud, dyes, inks, from the wastewater;

  • Halogen complexing - as the metal ions bind themselves to chlorine and form chlorinated hydrocarbon molecules – resulting in the formation of large insoluble complexes and isolating pesticides, herbicides, chlorinated PCBs, etc.;

  • Oxidation and reduction reactions - electrocoagulation can speed up the naturally occurring processes.

Electrocoagulation Test Equipment Features

  • Three sizes available: 1L , 5L, 20L

  • Interchangeable Electrodes: Iron / Aluminum / BDD / Titanium

  • Acrylate tank for more durability and corrosion resistance

  • Discharge valves to control the water flow

  • Recirculating pump for continuous treatment

Electrocoagulation Test Equipment Advantages

  • The transparent tank allows the user to clearly see the reactions happening in the main tank and evaluate the treatment effects;

  • The COD reduction can be tested after treatment;

  • Test if the wastewater pH needs to be adjusted;

  • Assess the plates corrosion and consumption during the process;

  • User can find the correct specifications for the best treatment effect on its wastewater

Thanks to the Electrocoagulation Test Equipment the client can extensively test the wastewater treatment system and save money, time, and avoid mistakes in the treatment process.
